The Board of Governors | |||||||||
| The Governors make a real difference in helping the school provide the best possible education for each for each and every one of its pupils. Together with the Head Teacher and the leadership team, they lead the school, setting the vision and establishing the right culture to drive forward improvements to ensure the best life chances are secured for every child. |

| Governing a school is a demanding job, but also an exciting one, especially now, with the Government’s wider Every Child Matters objectives of ensuring the children stay safe, are healthy enjoy and achieve, make it positive contribution and achieve economic well being. And of course these five outcomes for children are the bedrock of the new Ofsted inspection framework. | ||||||||||
| At The Pines we have six parents’ governors of registered pupils at the school who are elected by other parents. The parents governors are:- | ||||||||||
| Doug Jennings (Chairman), Lucy Young, Deborah Fishenden, Nicola Gergory, Rachel Morgan, Joanne Drum | ||||||||||
| There are also four Community governors appointed by the governing body to represent community issues they are:- | ||||||||||

| We also have three governors appointed by the Local Education Authority, they are:- | ||||||||||

| The governing body is completed by Lady Tunnicliffe Associate Governor, two staff governors, Jane Margrie and Helen Wood and the Head Teacher Kath Nugent. All governors can be contacted through the school office, parents governors are to be found in the playground most days at the start and finish of school. | ||||||||||
